RSV...are you kidding me????

Well I know that I'm a pediatric nurse and I should have "seen the signs" but I was totally floored when Dr. G. said that Jacob had RSV on Wednesday. Poor little guy turned 9 months old, only to get RSV and spend the milestone doing breathing treatments every 3-4 hours. But, Jacob is such a trooper (as always) and as long as Blues Clues is on....he tolerates his treatments without opposition. Check out that smile!

Well, he did go today for his official nine-month check up and his weight was back up a bit to 20.2 pounds (50%) and his height was 28.5 inches (75%), and because he is so smart....his head was 18.3 inches (90%) - just full of smart brain power! Mama is so proud! Our homework assignment (in addition to breathing treatments) is to work on vocabulary. So if you see Jonathan and myself naming everything under the sun and pointing....we are just doing our homework. In general, Jacob is doing great, but we really could use a break from going to the Dr. I can't wait to update you guys on crawling progress, walking progress, etc. Jacob does seem to scootch himself to the dogs' basket to get into their toys....he could care less about the ones that we bought for him. Maybe that's where he got this RSV bug from....dog toys???? It's a theory. Off to do breathing treatments!

  1. Poor Baby, isn't it hard to see our kids sick?
