On The Move....

Well, I knew the day would come when Jacob became mobile and it finally has. Friday evening, as we were waiting patiently for Daddy to get home from work, Jacob just took off across the floor after the TV remote (I should have known that a TV remote would be what motivates our child!) Over the past weekend, he has definately worked on his crawling skills and has become quite fast. I'm so excited but so exhausted as yet another adjustment of life with a baby THAT NOW MOVES. The boxers were a bit alarmed at first but I think Rebel is enjoying watching Jacob's new movements. He likes to get right up by Jacob and he just studies him. Ace is much more passive and never "seeks" Jacob's attention. But if Jacob catches him, Ace is very sweet and just lets Jacob pull and tug at him without opposition. Rebel definately lets Jacob know when he has had enough. We are really enjoying watching Jacob grow and become more playful with us. And who would have guessed that a Huggies box of diapers would make such a great box train? But Jacob enjoys it and we enjoy watching him make new discoveries.

Other developments....Jacob is now eating some table foods. And his favorite food thus far is MAC AND CHEESE. I gotta go easy on the cheese because it seems to be having a negative effect on his GI tract. Fun diapers for Mom and Dad! But we are enjoying watching him discover the joys of mushy tater tots and actual green beans that are not pureed. Okay, off to bed. We are almost back to normal from our RSV attack but Jacob still wakes at 4:30-5:00 every morning coughing so after 14 days of that, mamma is TIRED!!! And....speaking of cheese, check out these grins. Oh boy!
